Working with Armand on Far Cry 2 was a pleasure. He always brought a positive and professional attitude and invested himself in the project to help ensure we were all moving confidently in the right direction. He put a sharp eye on the game’s story and helped us make sure we were getting it right instead of robotically churning out content we would otherwise have needed to change later. His story sense and his commitment made a big difference for the whole story team, and his recognition in the nomination for the GDC Award for Best Writing is well deserved. I will be paying attention to the big ticket titles Armand will be writing for in the future.

Armand and I have worked together on multiple projects in various capacities. I have seen him handle every game-writing task there is, from bark generation to full script production (including multiple drafts, incorporating client feedback). The fact is that Armand Constantine is the MAN. He is a serious, dedicated writer who brings an incredible level of professionalism to everything he does. He knows instinctively how to integrate with the team and support the designer’s vision. Players and critics alike love his work. He consistently generates great material, and always delivers on time. Constantine combines his fierce love of language with an incisive understanding of the perils and opportunities of interactive media.  In the process, he elevates a form still wrestling with how best to utilize writers of his caliber (although to be fair, there aren’t many) with work that is muscular, intense, and unflinchingly dramatic.  If you’ve got a war game, horror flick or historical epic that needs life breathed into it, you could hardly do better.

Armand was the writer on a AAA project I directed, and he was a great resource. He consistently delivered quality work on schedule, and was ego-less in integrating feedback and suggestions.
